    This one is a bit more complex than the usual bandwagon-jumping because the subject matter fits so well within the campaign; there seems to be a bit of serendipity at work here. The ad is approachable by people who are not familiar with the pagent clip, and those who do know the clip get the allusion. However, care must be taken; this will get tired very quickly for those who have watched the clip over and over. Are these people heavy Subway patrons who will be turned off by seeing this ad frequently? The idea fits well within the campaign, but the self life of this ad is very short before it becomes tired.

    I agree with Dave – this could get annoying very quickly … but it gets a quick laugh! Now if Subway would just concentrate on making their buns as “FRESH” as Quiznos… :)

    Although I thought the original meme was funny, this could actually come off as being mean-spirited. Especially when it’s being leveraged for a sale. And as Dave noted, it could get tried very quickly.
